Pros

New president has brought in large amount of sales and talented people with printing background from all over the area. Definitely seeing the business is growing. Huge amount of works in both sales, project management, production and finishing...amount all aspects of the business in DVC is growing.

Cons

Stress and pressure always accompany with the growing business. Always need body / extra hands to get jobs done. Overtime is usually, of course with pay OT. Still need to invest in cultivating new people and equipment, may be resource and time consuming but necessary...

Pros

Working here I feel that I'm respected for my knowledge and expertise, and I feel valued as an employee. I think most people have an avenue to express their opinions. I think the company values it's employees as much as it's business, which is something that can be rare. Don't get me wrong, it's a crazy industry and there is times that a lot can be asked of you, but I don't think it's without regard. We work with big clients, and great projects, and everyday is different. All the way up to upper management I feel like the company is willing to listen to things that might make our processes better. Ultimately no company is perfect, but of my 15+ years in the industry, this is best experience. This is all going to be subjective of course, and I'm sure it could vary among departments, but this from my perspective. To me most people here take a lot of pride in what they do, and it shows. That's something that's important to me.

Cons

I think the company could stand to focus a little less on numbers in the columns, and give employee's a bit more freedom with their schedules. I think most of us want to do the right thing by the company, but need a bit more freedom to do so. There can be a lot of overtime, but that might be a pro to some people. There's not a lot of days off, but they have added sick pay so that's something that's improving.

Pros

There's great camaraderie amongst employees. They work hard and pull through together to get the products out on time. There's a lot of overtime. Sales & Project Management seem to be running a tight ship!

Cons

There's no organizational structure, corporate direction or vision. No communication from top to bottom. No company meetings. Employee morale is low.  For new employees it's a sink or swim situation with no processes or training.  Employees work hard but there's no appreciation, they don't even get Labor day as a paid holiday! The pay is too low for what is expected of their employees and the job will definitely be short term.  They hire an employee to do ABC and they expect them to do A-Z without any questions. Its unorganized, they don't have the right "management" team to help the organization establish processes and procedures.  They are not open to recommendations or changes.   Although process might be inefficient, they don't welcome change. Benefits are not great, most employees opt out. There's a 65% turnover rate!
