Pros

Very friendly coworkers and great culture that encourages teamwork. Great work/life balance - working nights/weekends is unheard of. Good amount of freedom to focus on the projects you find interesting. Excellent management without any micromanagement or politics. This applies to the tech department - I can't speak to the quality of management elsewhere. Interesting subject matter - I learned a lot about various medical topics by osmosis during my time at CLD. 20 days PTO.

Cons

Poor compensation compared to the industry as a whole. No notable benefits beyond health/dental/401k. Sometimes difficult to get necessary resources - I had to ask repeatedly for a $250 expenditure on necessary tools to complete my job, to the point it became exhausting. Because it's a small firm with isolated responsibilities in each department, there is little to no room for career advancement.

Pros

Great team members and ability to work from home! This company is a great place to work as a medical writer -- whether you are just starting out at an entry-level position or in a more advanced role. Most if not all writers are working 100% from home but there are plenty of opportunities to collaborate with others so it doesn't feel like I'm isolated. I love that I'm always learning new things and, because of that, assignments are never boring.

Cons

Client pressures are certainly a factor but our project managers and content leads do a great job helping to manage client expectations and project timelines.

Pros

Relatively balanced workload, fully remote environment.

Cons

Confrontational/unprofessional employees not handled appropriately by management, attitude was to just "deal with it".
