I loved working at CuriOdyssey! It was a great experience for volunteers 18 and under for some work that can help better youth and teach them about the world.

CuriOdyssey is not paid but I honestly would work for free for them.

The animals and a few nice employees who actually are engaged and doing their best with no management support.

Low pay, poor benefits, no retirement plan. Incompetent management that has no interest in employee ideas or feedback. Will say one thing to your face then never follow up on concerns and refuse you follow up meetings. Literally cutting all hourly staffs vacation hours, sick time, and opportunity for holiday pay. Now you work on a major holiday and don’t even receive 1.5x pay. Of course this doesn’t apply to salaried managers who aren’t there on holidays or weekends and can stroll in at whatever time they please each day. The zoo is falling apart. Exhibits are undersized and not up to accreditation codes for the species they currently house.
