Pros
The actual clients, staff, and director are amazing! Be sure to get everything in writing when correspoding with the actual owner. -Limited on call responsiilities. The staff are very reliable and willing to work open shifts/positions.
Cons
-No room for growth. With promises made you will need to adapt a mindset of "believing it when you see it". -There are no current client documentation. When you bring up things that need to be updated to the owner of the company, he will make up an excuse or deflect from the question. -The actual home needs UPDATES. The walls are peeling and visably dirty (The baseboards are black around. There are holes in areas of the floor. The cabinets are missing/or hanging. When brought to the owners attention, he will continue to say that updates will happen. -You do not receive your paystubs! You have to make several request before finally receiving them. Staff are often complaining they were being paid incorrectly. -The company does not pay ANY benefits and will make you the lowest possible payrate.on -The owner is unethical! From having untrained staff continue to pass medications, to having vulnerable adults complete personal projects for him in exchange for giftcards.(I highly suggest reviewing public DHS correction orders prior to working for this company). -With the exception of one group home, you will have an open floor work space. -When you bring up ANY concerns, the "fake nice act will stop" and you will see the owners true colors. -The owner will promise PTO but will not pay it out upon ending employement. My advice would be to utilize while employed. -Not paid gas mileage unless over 10 miles but you are instructed to utilize your personal vehicle. -The company claims diversity, however if you are not Somali, you will see clear differences with how the owner enforces policies between employees.
