Pros

Salary equal to market averages

Cons

When I worked at Crown Partnership I did not have a good experience unfortunately. Initially I was enticed by a good salary, the fact it was a well-established company and it appeared that there would be variety in the role due to the partnership element. Soon after starting there the alarm bells began to ring and I became unhappy with the treatment of myself and staff around me. Within the space of two months, 5-10 people had left the company, either through choice or simply disappeared with no explanation - one day they were there the next they were gone. I also heard stories of people from the past who had been "forced out", "got rid of" or quit suddenly, including someone who left after one shift. None of which makes you feel safe and happy in your role. The way people speak to each other (via phone, in person and over email) is ridiculously unprofessional, and this 'tough talk' behaviour is led by the owner. The company has a predominant blame culture, and managers regularly give staff a tough time in weekly 121's, causing those staff to feel they need to pass the blame to avoid the heat. The owner allowed the head office's heating system to stay broken for 2-3 months over the winter period - leading to staff working in coats and gloves at 10.5 - 15 degree temperatures - despite one of the partnership's companies being a building maintenance company. No apology email from the owner or any of the management during this time, or any reassurance that it was going to be fixed. It only was resolved after persistent chasing from multiple staff. Staff are on edge and do not feel safe in their roles - there is no feeling of job security which impacts on productivity. Unfortunately I cannot recommended working at this company, and I wish I'd read the other reviews on here before accepting the role. The long notice period is a real hindrance too (2-3 months depending on your role), and the owner is not afraid to take staff to court if they are not willing to work all of it.

Pros

Great Team and Impact: The team here is truly collaborative and supportive. We worked together to implement a new vendor management system which helped us reduce costs. It felt great to see our work have such a direct and positive impact on the company. Focus on Sustainability: Crown Partnership is committed to working with sustainable and ethical suppliers. It was a key part of our procurement strategy, which made the work feel more meaningful than just focusing on price.

Cons

Legacy Systems: Some of our procurement tools were a bit outdated. Managing purchase orders and contracts could sometimes be a manual and time-consuming process. Investing in more modern software would really help improve efficiency. Limited Autonomy: While management was supportive, I felt there was a need for more trust and autonomy in day-to-day decision-making, particularly with smaller-scale supplier negotiations. This would free up management's time and help the team move faster.

Pros

Some people are nice but constantly stressed and depressed because of this place

Cons

Company’s literally known for how bad it is - every recruiter and companies know Crown and will ask you 'how did you even survive that place?’ It’s an absolute joke in the industry.
