Pros
Exposure to senior leaders (FTSE 350 CEOs, CFOS etc.) is unparalleled. You will learn an incredible amount about how companies really operate, what good leadership looks like, cross sector best practice. Relatively well treated and looked after as long as you don't challenge or expose the inherent insecurities of the leadership team. You get to go to a lot of events in incredible hotels and restaurants. If you join at the right stage of your career you will get developed by management, but the relationship is very much teacher/pupil rather than as an equal.
Cons
Lack of any real definition on what the proposition is. The company is a lifestyle business and the CEO is dominant. Anything the CEO doesn't understand - he will not listen to or consider The opps board are full of yes men/women and unable to engage in critical thinking. There is a culture of disillusionment within the business due to the leadership. No real engagement or excitement in the proposition amongst the wider team.
