Pros

Great hands-on experience for those just starting out in IT. You get a lot of exposure to different IT issues and environment that will set you up to work well in any IT organization. Culture in the company is overall pretty good, Most of the Team is really great to work with and have a good time while always being respectful to each other.

Cons

All the Level 1-3 support is outsourced to a 3rd party so there is nowhere to move up outside of the Field Tech team. There is a lack of communication between the Project Management, 3rd party support, and the field tech team which causes any errors on project to fall on the Field techs stuck on site, The company has been taking on more new projects that they can handle which causes constant out of state travel for the field techs with very little notice. It is very difficult to take days off or plan any appointments. There is a general lack of regard for the personal lives of the field techs. The priority seems to be always the client first over their own employees.

Pros

I have been servicing computers in Chicago’s nursing home community since the late 80’s…ouch, that’s even hard for me to accept. This company is doing something I haven’t seen in this industry in all that time, bringing this community to the front edge of technology. I’m both excited and proud to be a part of this company. You get recognition when you do well, help is 5 feet away if you can realize you need it, and mistakes are handled constructively when made with remorse. Personally, I have gained my most ingrained knowledge thru my mistakes, striving to make them only once.

Cons

The owner is one of the most brilliant good-hearted people I know. This may not sound like a con but it can be intimidating when his interest is misconstrued. Excellence is expected, but not perfection. There are some strict rules that must be followed, but that is how a successful company must be run. There are times you must be careful not to get hit with a Nerf dart, but battle zones are generally maintained.
