Pros

There are some talented people on staff to learn from. They are always taking risks to start new publications, which I admire.

Cons

Since they are always starting new publications, they may hire you on the contingency that the publication will succeed, which many do not. The problem is that they don't tell you this. You may think that you have a permanent job, but it is really temporary. Even if you get hired for an established magazine, this can happen, because your job will only be secure if the existing editor succeeds at starting a new magazine. Also, the owner is kind of crazy and arrogant, but this can also be a pro because she is a very entertaining character. You will have great fodder for you next novel.

Pros

Long time employee. The owner is very active in the business now and is open minded and very hands on. Lets people do their job. They just want you to get the job done and work hard. After all it is a JOB! Lots of perks and beauty products. If you have ideas the management and owner listen.

Cons

Some of the employees are very negative and never have anything nice to say to anyone one. They bring the energy of the company down.
