Pros
The option to choose what time and day you want to do tasks. You have control on recording your time. Tolerable when you have someone to work with you especially if it’s almost half an aisle of stocks to move around.
Cons
There is no actual structure of training. You just get taught by one of your teammates who was likely the new hire previous to you. Miserable when working solo. No discounts with coles. Heavy stocks. Heavy shelves that the head office keeps asking to move around willy-nilly. They gravely underestimate how much hours a task should be completed. Disorganised delegation of tasks among team members. You rarely see your team members especially if they’re low on staff at the region and so everyone is spread out on their own store. Lucky if you’re handling a small store, unlucky if you’ve been assigned a larger store. This job makes you neglect your physical health because you’re straining to get it all done quickly under their guesstimated time. In terms of pay, sometimes you only get 5 hours of work in a fortnight, then suddenly 65 hours of work in the next fortnight.
