Pros

Working for Creative Action can be really great for an artist/performer, but it can also lead to burn out. If you love kids and are very passionate about the arts, this can be a good opportunity.

Cons

Some kids are bad and their parents are just as bad The work can be unsteady If you're part-time there are very few benefits

Pros

They are extremely invested in the arts and provide tons of resources for their employees.

Cons

Unfortunately due to the nature of non profits, budgets are always a battle and programs can either grow or downsize year to year.

Pros

They can build you up from nothing. This was my first job ever in the workforce, and it was a damn good one. I built numerous skills in this position that I would have never gained at other companies. The community within the company is strong and embedded within the austin. There is a emphasis on being local and supporting each other!

Cons

Can't say much about the individuals, but I will say... The leadership at the top seems a little disjointed... non-cohesive. Their lack of clarity on the future can and has trickled down to other employees, and we have been put in several uncomfortable situations and talks.
