Pros
Ton of autonomy and company car.
Cons
Base salary is from 2014 market rates. Either pay like a "med device role" (low base/high commission) or pay like a pharma role (high base/low commission). Comp structure is low base ($45k) and low commission. Budget is released every quarter and they will do their best to keep you under your goal to control your pay.
They talked years ago about everyone saying the base was too low and "they were seriously looking into it." Based on recent reviews on here it seems like they're still using that line.
Role is completely based on your access. If you don't have good access to providers, you're basically just dropping off pamphlets at the front desk every day. Job is sold as med device, but it much more aligns with a pharma job. Your performance is 100% territory based and not how well you sell. Most top performers wouldn't be able to sell themselves out of a bag.
GOOD LUCK finding a true med device role with a reputable company with the experience you get from this role.
