Pros

-good pay -it is not a very busy location so you have alot of down time

Cons

-you are expected to do alot more besides the typical barista jobs (help with deliveries, write daily reflections, write down all information you learn about residents, take quizzes on the products, help residents (both drunk and sober) get into the elevator) -there is not pay transparency, I was paid less than a barista who joined later than me despite her having less experience than me -tips do not go to baristas -there are no safety precautions for baristas who are working late at night by themselves -they are often understaffed and instead of attempting to hire more people they simply let the current staff work overtime to cover those shifts

Pros

There is quite a bit of free time while on the job, so be prepared with a book or some sort of study material if you are a student.

Cons

The team can be rather slim from time to time whioch makes scheduling somewhat more challenging.

Pros

Sometimes you’re alone and get no business so you have downtime.

Cons

You’re very closely monitored depending on which location you’re placed at. The CEO will personally call or text you trying to convince you to cover a shift last minute at different locations. This happened repeatedly and felt like they had no boundaries nor is this appropriate to be doing. If you’re needing someone to cover a shift the CEO should not be jumping over everyone including general managers and shift leads. This becomes a power thing. He almost made it impossible for me to say no and will continually call and text each employee so much when we’ve all put in the appropriate amount of time to take off and our schedule is consistent. I also felt like I was always under a microscope at my location and felt like they treated me less than sometimes. There’s a lot of pressure to fulfill certain shoes here. Also we would have to write notes or anything we learned about each resident in a notebook which was creepy. Then every staff member had to sign off that they read that. If we’re suppose to build organic connections this shouldn’t be a thing. Sometimes I had too much downtime and I was bored.
