Pros
The insurace was good, they always let you take off to handle family matters, and usually you had a truck with less than 100k miles.
Cons
The good old boy system is still alive and well. Office employees date higher ups, and receive immunity from big mistakes, while field hands have to deal with the blow back. Even the field hands are treated differently based on who they are. 1 guy will get wrote up or fired while someone else will be asked not to do that again. The hourly pay and the per diem is lower than expected. There is no organization, you are told to hurry up, get it done 5 minutes ago, but figure a way to be safe doing it. The office keeps hiring more office help because we are in a bind, but the quality and speed isn't realy increasing, at the same time, no extra field help is being brought in.
