Great work culture with no downsides - Manager Council on Foundations Employee Review

It is so great to work at a place that puts their time, policies, and money in alignment with their values. This has been one of the best work experiences I've ever had. The staff is is great, people are dedicated, reliable, collaborative, and everyone cares about their work. Senior management is talented, responsible, responsive, and transparent. It has felt like important work to contribute to and a stable place to work. Salaries are fair and in alignment with nonprofit salaries.

It is a relatively small organization (around 50), so growth in terms of new opportunities, only happens when people leave. Workloads can be heavy and calendars are always full. It has a fast pace.

Very friendly and welcoming working environment, loved the other employees and especially my supervisor. Learned a lot about philanthropy and the law.

Most employees work remotely, so lots of teams meetings and though the company had a super nice office, it was largely empty most of the time. Also felt like I didn't learn new skills, more just new information. Part of this is they had paused their intern program for a while so still trying to figure things out.
