Pros

Costa Communications gives you the opportunity to gain experience working in the entertainment industry. The company is small but it gives you the chance to be more hands on with big projects. I had no experience working in PR before I took this job and I have learned so much from Ray. You get to work big events, conferences, festivals and attend screenings of blockbuster movies before they are released to the public. If you show willingness to learn and to be involved, you will get more opportunities.

Cons

There are lots of events sometimes after work which can be tiring on top of a full schedule but also exciting. Ray is very detail oriented but it helps you in the long run.

Pros

He will buy Uber eats every once in a while.

Cons

Let employee go 4 days prior to Christmas. What a great human being. Employer is very unorganized and expects you to know what only he could possibly know regarding PR, deadlines, and events he schedules and failed to mention to be added to his calendar or research. When you ask questions to know how to prevent for next year, he gets bothered for questioning. Expects you to be pro active, but when you are,(mentioned this as one of the reasons he Let employee go) In this case for accepting a call from Meltwater to help the company in finding articles about our clients vs iqmedia. Will pay you as a contractor but will treat you as an employee. Will yell and cuss at employees daily, will threaten your job constantly, and will make constant mistakes but yet does not acknowledge them. Does not reply back to clients emails and somehow that was employee's fault. Clients are great, the work itself is great, the walking on eggshells and not knowing what will trigger an outburst is undeniable. Lied about giving pay raise once Quickbooks was taken over in house. Says he wants an organization system but yet none is in place and when attempting to do so gets mad because he says the "number one thing is PR". Talks way too much about his personal life to employees and clients. Wastes too much time on distractions that help no one.
