Pros

Cornerstone has many talented, hardworking employees who genuinely care about customers and supporting one another. Some teams collaborate well despite ongoing challenges, and a few managers sincerely try to advocate for their teams. Flexible work arrangements remain a positive.

Cons

The company has gone through constant rounds of layoffs, creating ongoing uncertainty, low morale, and a lack of trust in leadership. Employees often feel undervalued, particularly those with shorter tenure, as the organization shows little investment in developing or retaining newer employees. While leadership frequently promotes career development and internal mobility, opportunities to advance from within are limited, and existing talent is often overlooked. Employee engagement survey feedback rarely leads to meaningful change, with the same concerns resurfacing year after year without clear action. Decision-making often feels disconnected from the realities of day-to-day work, and many leaders struggle to effectively advocate for their teams. There are also growing concerns among employees about potential age bias, especially during recent restructuring efforts. The company appears to be under financial pressure, reflected in frequent reorganizations, customer churn, and an unclear long-term strategy. The lack of salary increases planned for 2026 has further impacted morale, while retaining customers has become increasingly difficult as service quality and product focus decline.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for your many years of service to Cornerstone. This is certainly not the feedback we want to hear from such a tenured Cornerstar. Know that we are actively strengthening internal mobility, leadership development, and follow-through on engagement feedback to ensure employees at all stages have opportunities to grow and feel supported and regularly provide updates on these efforts via our LXP page (I encourage you to check it out!). We also want to be clear that Cornerstone does not tolerate discrimination of any kind, and we continue to review our processes to ensure fairness and transparency. If you have specific concerns and have not already done so, please reach out to me or the People team to discuss. We remain committed to building a workplace where talent is valued, supported, and heard. --Carina Cortez

Thanks for sharing this; it's great to hear your positive outlook on our leadership and vision as that’s something we really care about. There can be challenges that come along with acquisitions, especially when it comes to aligning products and culture. While these decisions are made to support growth and long-term success, they don’t always feel seamless in the moment. Again, I appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best. -Carina Cortez, Chief People Officer

Pros

Originally, this company was very supportive. There were many layers of resources meant to make employees successful. After the purchase of the company by PE they have cut software, resources and staffing to increase profits. I would not say there are many advantages over other employers in the field today. The ability to work from home is a pro. Complexity of the software is a pro because the work isn't boring. There's always something to learn.

Cons

- no real path to advancement, Cornerstone used to promote from within, over the past several years the majority of hired have been external - management cares a lot about stats but doesn't care to educate employees on how to meet those expectations. Ex. If a employee gets a negative survey it isn't reviewed and strategies aren't shared for improvement. If an issue goes on longer than expected and it puts employees out of compliance with the resolution time standard, employees are told to fix it with no strategies for doing so. There is no analysis of issues. One caveat: my team has a new manager so there is a possibility that things will improve; however the directives come from the top down, so upper management still has a problematic philosophy.
