Pros

The schedule was awesome. Rotating weekends off. Pay was very decent for no experience in that field. And it pays the most on the correction field. Only at the Houston location. The Houston processing center.

Cons

The job is so easy that it’s boring. If you work overnight in the dormitories it’s hard to stay up while the detainees are in the room asleep Recommend to sign up for day shift when there are openings. Although the pay is great there were no raises. I been there for 6 years and started at 19.62 and ended 19.62. Only when the company decides to give a raise.. all officers make the same no matter how well do or experience you have. Employees can be friendly but as all jobs you have the bad ones. Be cordial but keep colleagues out of your personal life.

Thank you for your feedback. Many of our facilities are operated under the Service Contract Act or our contract is governed by DOL wage determination. In those cases the pay rate does not change unless the Department Of Labor releases a new wage determination for the area.

Pros

CC Uses cutting-edge Technologies, which is good experience for resume building; many of the Teams are collaborative; interesting work and you can believe in company goals.

Cons

Director and Manager level mgmt at corporate here do not provide guidance on projects. There is a lot of turnover on data projects because new employees are thrown into the deep end and then just blamed if results are not as expected. CC really needs more hands-on project oversight. There are also behavioral and anger issues with a couple long-time ppl as well, and this is both exhausting and (sometimes) outright humiliating. They need to treat new people better.
