Pros
Pay on time and say the right things. Financials are strong. Benefits appear to be adequate. If you don't mind working in an environment that caters to salvage employees and salvage customers... Big Eaters at the local facilities always have food available. People wreck their cars; there is a steady stream of revenue. Alcohol and Tobacco friendly!
Cons
Key employees at the yard level lack KSAs to competently perform in other industries. No support for dealer services or any customer not named "Big Insurance Company." Customer service is non-existent for the aforementioned. Unskilled, untrained, and uneducated personnel are making business decisions that affect revenue. Disgruntled yard workers undermine field personnel. Salvage yards are in less than desirable neighborhoods. Less desirable neighborhoods mean cheaper local labor pool to recruit from. Employees and Customers steal parts from other customers auction vehicles.
