Great people, opportunities, flexibility - Associate Director Convergence Point Media Employee Review

Pros

The opportunity for growth at any level is massive. It's the kind of place at which a stellar employee can be winning new business and running accounts in a very short time. Management is close at hand- I see the inner workings of an agency, new business pitches, and day to day client service. Supportive team culture with great benefits, bonuses, and good work/life balance.

Cons

No cons for me- but this place may not be ideal if you are looking for a place to play foosball and drink beer (though they do have those things)...this is more a place to concentrate on work and building a career.

Pros

Unlike the big media agencies, CPM operates with a very flat organizational structure which accelerates decision making and allows us to be more responsive to the needs of our clients. We're independent, nimble and sophisticated in our solutions and approach to our clients marketing and media needs and challenges.

Cons

We're a smaller agency so it's "all hands on deck". There's no room for people who aren't willing to step up and contribute.

Pros

WeWork staff, WeWork amenities, the hours and the workload because you can get away with not getting any work done for a whole week.

Cons

This is the most backwards and illegitimate company ever, and I use the word 'company' very loosely. There is no official HR department or personnel, which can cause conflicts of interest. A 'media agency' refuses to pay for any media planning, buying, and measurement tools, which is mind boggling to me. How do you prove to the client that the media you are recommending/buying is actually accurate or moving the needle for their business? The office is a 6-person closet in a WeWork location. All the raving reviews are complete lies that are told during the interview process. There is no career coaching, no growth because the 'company' itself cannot expand. I'm not spiteful or disgruntled. I wasn't fired but resigned because I found an amazing job now; but being at this amazing job made me realize how illegitimate this employer is and want to help anyone I can to steer clear and not make the wrong career move.
