Pros

work from home.... full stop

Cons

First let me say that I was in conversations about making glassdoor accounts to hide the bad reviews. Do not trust the high ratings. One day you might end up without a job. This isn't your usual "We aren't doing well and you were the last one hired." type thing either. We had a company meeting where the CEO told us how well the company was doing, and the next day 5+ people got let go because they didn't have work for them. They acquired BP and then proceeded to let go the higher paid US employees, because the lower paid BP employees could do the same job. You are just a number at this company. You could be with the company for years and if they think you are overpaid, you are out. This company has very few senior IT resources because they have been pushed out or left for greener pastures. Compensation: My pay was above average, but like I stated above, that puts a target on your back at this company. My end of year bonuses (Calendar year), i.e. several different bonuses, were paid in April and were still wrong. It seems in the buyout of BP that Contegix either forgot to save money for the bonuses, or simply didn't care. If you were an employee and were suppose to get an end of year bonus, but left before April, you weren't paid. When it was brought up that the bonus amounts were wrong, payroll reached out to only pay one of the people that had the wrong amount, but wanted that person to keep it quiet from everyone else. Overall, Contegix will pee on you and tell you it is raining and that rain makes money. You are a number to them, not a person. If they can hold your money, they will. If they think you are too expensive, you are replaced. Contegix is not a place that you grow as an employee. It is a company that you are forced to work for until you find something better. They are owned by a capitalist venture firm that only cares about the bottom line. The 20 year Contegix has startup problems like payroll and billing of customers. Contegix will lie to you to have you tow the company line. The benefits are mediocre and having to wade through the BS to figure out what is actually up is tiring. Avoid at all costs. Lastly, I worked for this company for 2 years. When I put in my two weeks I got a slack message from the delivery lead that I did the most work for that said "Sorry, to see you go. I understand. I'll start the outprocessing paperwork." The owner and co-owner of the company that I originally started working for, and was bought out by Contegix, for never reached out. No management thought it would be appropriate to say thanks for the good work. No email, no phone call. I truly was just a number. Exit interview is a joke. All they wanted to do was tell me that the reasons I was leaving were wrong and argue that my perception of the whole company was incorrect. Instead of assessing my critique and applying changes, they felt the need to tell me why the healthcare wasn't bad, or why holding my bonus money for 4 months was acceptable. Time off is unlimited, but they will message you everyday for small problems. They will call you in to attend mass company meetings that do not effect you and could have been an email. They will message you after you have surgery to help with a problem. They require a phone number for you everytime you put in PTO, so if they need to reach you, they can.
