Pros
-Early dismissal on summer Fridays -People and culture department was always trying to lift peoples spirits with work events and free food -Good benefits package although some cuts had been made.
Cons
-Telemarketing (you’ll be expected to make a MINIMUM 80 cold calls per day). Most days I did around 100, yet management was always encouraging the sales department to push harder to meet sales goals. Your best is never enough. If one person makes more calls, the rest get worried they’ll look like slackers. -You are on the phone all day giving the same pitch over and over again. Every day is exactly the same as the last. I dreaded going into work because I knew everyday I’d be doing exactly the same thing I had done the day before unless I was lucky enough to have a sales meeting or something to give me a break from making sales calls. -Salary was below average and the commission structure made it almost impossible to reach your quota unless you were a sales superstar and stopped taking bathroom breaks. -Cutthroat. People who had been at the company for years would get fired if they had a bad sales month. It just instilled fear in everyone to push harder on sales. Really a toxic environment.
