Pros

Working at Connex Partners changed my life. Eight years ago I joined the team thinking I knew a lot more than I really did about every aspect of business. At the time we were a young company started by young men with a lot of ambition and aggression. The intensive sales training for new hires was fantastic, but after that you were on your own. The boys club culture was great if you proved yourself but you didn't exist until you did. Oftentimes the same ethos seemed to guide customer relationships. After three years of that I was fairly successful but not terribly satisfied or engaged. Then things started to change. Perhaps as a result of maturation by the founding partners, perhaps as a result of the influence of current CEO David Martinelli who joined us around that time. The culture was simultaneously becoming more professional, more accountable, more inclusive, and more supportive. Today the primary ethos is one of collaboration. Even our business model has changed to reflect that. Good people, talented people, working together to create positive outcomes. Today I consider the partners of the company mentors and friends. Connex will test you. Connex will support you. Show up ready to work and leave your ego at the door.

Cons

Entrepeneurial culture is great if you are an entrepeneurial person, but you may struggle here if you have a clock puncher mentality. We want high performers and don't want to micromanage, so if you don't ask for help, people won't know you need it.

Pros

Remote work and lots and lots of daily training. The call script is dialed in and effective

Cons

micromanagement is excessive... you may be remote but if you need to get up and stretch your legs and take more than a few minutes, you will get a phone call asking what you are doing and if you plan on "actually working" for the day. They hold you accountable if your closer does not close deals... I was setting 10-15 meetings per week and my closer who was 'supposed" to be a seasoned closer only closed 2 deals which I then had to fight for my commission which wasn't what we agreed on in my contract...
