Pros

Lots of Overtime, because no one wants to work with high risk clients who attack you weekly.

Cons

Clients able to do anything without any consequence - no supports for employees, only thing management cares about is bottom line and keeping funding contracts at risk of employee safety and wellbeing. Not helpful for clients to learn valuable life skills and consequences to ensure they can be productive members of society. Not worth it to advance. Program Managers only make $65-80K and expected to be on call 24 hour during the week and 2nd or 3rd weekend. You can make more doing 1-2 Overtime shift per month. Senior Management is out of touch. No work-life balance, people just call in sick when they need time off.

Pros

The opportunity to work on important projects and learn as you do

Cons

Team culture is not great, and unfortunately, you will be thrown into things with little context, tools, or time to figure it out. There is a strong sense of founders syndrome and management opportunities have not been adequately shared across the team. Prepare to be micromanaged.
