Pros

My position is located at the corporate office in Hunt Valley, MD - nice geographic location outside of city Some nice co-workers on my team

Cons

The list of cons is quite extensive so I will provide a condensed version. If I could provide a negative value rating for this company, I would do so simply in an effort to help others avoid this company. Let me begin by stating I am a professional with over 20 years of industry experience. In addition, I possess an advanced degree. That being said, I know my value/worth and what I bring to the table. I also recognize no job is perfect. However, what I have witnessed first hand within this organization is truly unbelievable and worthy of a negative review. Key Issues: 1. Ineffective leadership - inclusive of execs down to senior level managers 2. Toxic environment and culture - very low morale 3. Extremely high turnover - this indicates a significant issue considering professionals are leaving consistently; not simply the lower paying call center reps (which is expected) 4. Lack of training and development 5. Personal battles harm productivity and interfere with overall mission 6. Very political culture - be a "yes" man in order to get rewarded 7. Favortism is fostered - people do not get promoted based upon their hard work and contributions but rather based upon favortism 8. Poor communication 9. Lack of transparency 10. Abuse of employees

Thank you for your feedback. As a member of our leadership team, I do take your review very seriously and would love the opportunity to sit down and discuss in person. I am committed to making CYC a better place and would welcome an opportunity to better understand some of your points. While you may believe it's all show, truly, my door is open, my calendar is up to date, and I am very much available to you and any other employee who has concerns about the direction of CYC. No company is perfect, but we certainly are doing our best to address issues, recognizing that change does not always happen quickly.

Pros

ConnectYourCare is easily one of the top employers to work for in the CDH industry. Not only do they say they care for their employees, but they prove it time and time again. One of the most recent examples is during Hurricane Irma. CYC offered to bus any/all call center employees and their families out of the path of Irma for safety. In addition to providing safe transportation out of the state of FL they also paid for all employee meals, and lodging in hotels for employees and their families. Upon returning home after the hurricane had passed, CYC also provided all employees with a $100 gift card to Publix (a grocery store) so that we could replenish our refrigerators with food/drinks since the power went out for most of us while we were gone spoiling any food left in there. This is just one of the MANY examples of CYC going above and beyond for their employees. The call center has also recently been going through some organizational changes. We have had a new Director come on board, and the change she has brought to the call center has been substantial to the success/successes we have seen in the past 4-5 months. Lastly, the opportunity for growth within this company and the call center department is ever-increasing. We have doubled in size within the last year, and will continue to do so in the years to come. If you are a potential future employee and want a great family atmosphere with a wonderful company culture CYC is the place for you!

Cons

At this point in time, there is nothing negative about working for CYC!
