Pros

Lots of over time available

Cons

They expect you to work up to 12 hours a day with no prior notice. I set a flex schedule to begin work between 5-7am. One day, there was no work that day until 12pm, despite being on the schedule and clocking in at 5am. They told us to clock out, and check back in frequently to see if work was available. So I checked in every 30 mins from 5am to noon. Then, they still expected us to work 8 hours once the work arrived. So instead of working 5am-130pm, they now expected me to shift my entire day and work 12pm-830pm with no prior notice. The pay is only $15 for the first 6 weeks of training, so the compensation is not a livable wage, even with the extensive over time. Then they tell us at noon everyday if we are good with working only 8 hours for the day or if they need us for 10 or 12 hours. It takes up the whole day and you have no notice of how long you’re expected to work until 7 hours into the shift. I have to dedicate my entire day to it. I can’t make other plans. I have a 2nd job and some days I have to start that late due to the unpredictable schedule. There is 2 10 mins breaks and a 30 minute break and they want you typing nonstop if you’re not on break. You can’t hop up for 1 minute to get a drink IN YOUR OWN HOME because they expect you to be a robot and type nonstop for 12 hours daily. They want you to work the hours consecutively, even if we don’t begin the shift until much later due to no work being in the queue. It makes no sense. The supervisors are horrible. The hours are unpredictable. Training is $15 an hour, then we are paid based on the type of documents typed, the amount processed, and the number of errors made.

Pros

Job as described. This company is a contracting company pretty much and through them I was working for Humana. It was straight forward and as described, but the training Humana provided was a bit hectic and intense, and people were quitting left and right because of how much anxiety it caused.

Cons

High anxiety training environment that felt like we weren't fully equipped to do the job. Not having the freedom to get up and away from your desk unless you were specifically on a break. Automatic answering phones.
