Pros

As a third party provider of services, Conduent is a great place to get a foot in the door of various industries. Have some basic customer service skills and expand to call center. Health care services is a growing sector in today's job market. A call center position in a medical insurance service business unit (SBU) will give enough training and education to allow you to work in a medical setting such as a doctor's office or hospital, in a role in insurance sales, or work at another insurance company. Take ownership of every call and move up the ladder within the team, department, or SBU. Start off in data entry and end up a claims examiner. Begin in customer service Tier 1 technical support, continue on the job training and then, leave to take a job making $5-7 more at another company than when you started at Conduent. The skills you gain at Conduent hold value when you leave. If you don't like your SBU, polish your performance and attitude, and transfer within Conduent to another SBU. Please show up and on time. Benefits with tuition reimbursement or on site classes are available. Your work schedule may keep it challenging to go to school, at times. Overtime may be available.

Cons

The benefits are standard offerings for these days, meaning not great. You'll have several plans to choose from. PTO is accrued. Depending on the unit, turn over may be high. This can be an advantage if you are trying to move up. Seniority matters. The down side is that some people are well capable of doing their original job description but have no real training or experience to be a manager, yet they may be promoted. Clicks exists as within all call centers. Stay out of the fray and treat everyone decently. Some SBUs are a close knit bunch in a good way. Put the arrogance aside to be humble and learn. Most of the training is on the job. The training class are basically overviews. It's true, the devil is in the details. Network among your coworkers on the floor to keep relevant. The processing documents are not always kept current and are typically a work in progress. The buildings could be kept in better repair at some locations. I moved and could not get my address changed successfully. Faxing, emailing and calling proved a frustration. When my supervisor had to get involved, that department's representative said the issue was that I kept moving. Actually, I kept resubmitting my one change of address every month, not moving. Annoying. Salary Keys to verify employment and wage are inadequate for most employers so please make sure to get contact information from coworkers and associates so that you have references. Overtime may be mandatory.

Pros

Work from home , convenient

Cons

The way they fire you for no reason; and than block you from emailing them, messaging them or anything without warning! I worked there for 2 years and I had asked to switch supervisors , because the new one I had was very rude and put down everyone. Well the week after I asked to be moved; shelve wrote me up 3 times in one week, which is cause for termination. One of the writeups was because she said I should have offered a customer an email at the end of the call! They are scandalous and I would not recommend to anyone to work for them. If the client: who’s name starts with an A and ends in with E… should not tolerate they way they are representing them!
