Pros
ConcertAI offers one of the best work-life balance environments I have experienced. Even many former employees who have moved to other organizations mention that the work-life balance at ConcertAI is something they truly miss. The fixed 8:00 AM–5:00 PM work schedule provides a healthy work-life balance, allowing employees to maintain a good personal and professional routine. The company also provides a good cab facility, making commuting convenient and safe. The exposure to oncology and Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects provides excellent learning opportunities. The experience gained here is highly valued in the industry, and in recent years, ConcertAI employees have found it easier to secure opportunities outside the organization because of the strong oncology expertise they develop. Performance is recognized, especially at the abstractor level, where promotions are primarily based on measurable performance data. Consistently high-performing employees receive recognition, which motivates them to maintain high standards. Another positive aspect is the current HRBP, who is approachable, responds promptly, listens to employee concerns, and takes timely action. Compared to the past, the HR function has become much more accessible and supportive for employees.
Cons
Some operational processes could be more clearly defined. Frequent restructuring can create uncertainty, confusion, and disappointment among employees. One example was the restructuring and layoffs last year, followed by rehiring within 4–5 months. While I understand that startups need to adapt quickly to changing business needs, a more thorough impact assessment and workforce planning before implementing major organizational changes could have reduced the workload on existing employees and improved overall employee confidence.
