Pros

Casual work environment. open room atmosphere no cubicles.plenty of parking.

Cons

I'm in agreement with the last two reviews absolutely. Please Please when looking for a job or wanting to apply to this company or any other see what the current or former employees have said. It will really save you alot of wasted time going through the interview process if your hired only to find out later that what was said is true. Not organized. High turnover, Pay is cheap.Micro managers who spend too much time focusing on the detailed activities of their employees fail to focus on more important organizational goals including departmental expansion. In the long term, reliance on micromanagement leads to significant time mismanagement and restricts a company's growth in other areas that need it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the casual work environment and open office setup during your time with Computer Market Research. CMR has been serving a specialized group of high-volume, enterprise clients since 1984, and many of our client relationships span over 15 years. The nature of this work requires a high level of structure, focus, and accountability to ensure projects stay on track and within client budgets. While some individuals thrive in this fast-paced environment, we understand that this style of work and level of oversight may not be the ideal fit for everyone. We also recognize that every company isn’t for every person. Culture fit plays an important role in long-term success — both for the employee and the company. We’re grateful for the contributions you made while with us and sincerely wish you success as you continue your career and find the environment that best suits your goals and working style.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, Interesting Work, Lots of Perks - Del is a great guy and treats his teams like family.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. You perform and produce, or you move along and find something else. This is a high value boutique software firm - it's easy to think there's not a lot going on here - but there actually is. It's easy to look at the relatively chill Las Vegas office and think it's a chill, boring place... but that's not the case... you have to have your finger on the pulse of what's happening not only here, but also in San Diego, There's a lot happening behind the scenes. You have to be smart enough to figure that out. It's B2B so if you don't have that experience you have to learn quick. You've got to be accountable for your own success. Nobody is going to hold your hand while you figure it out - just figure it out. If you don't have a good level of self direction and accountability, this is not the place for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations and wish you the best of luck in finding a role that aligns well with your skills and career goals. At Computer Market Research, we’ve been proudly serving a niche group of high-volume clients since 1984, with many client relationships lasting over 15 years. As a boutique software company, we hold our team to a high standard so we can deliver the level of service our clients expect. Our Las Vegas corporate office is smaller and focused on strategy and client success, which can sometimes feel separate from the day-to-day operations of our product and development teams. That’s why staying connected and engaged across the business is so important. We also strive to provide a quiet, collaborative environment with perks like free parking and a close-knit, family-like culture for those who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
