Christmas parties & golf outings on profitable years great for overall morale. Quarter annual foreman/management meetings keeps everyone on the same page. Respect, appreciation, "team" mentality, good benefits & pay.
Cons
The cyclical nature of the industry can cause temporary strains on available work, which means fairly consistent lay-offs/hiring. If you're familiar with the industry you probably already know that.
