Pros
Initially the team was very upbeat and welcoming. Many team building activities. Focus was patient centered, and all concerns were taken seriously and addressed in a professional manner.
Cons
They had full time on call staff. They did not participate in team meetings regarding the plan of care. On Monday mornings report would come in and any plan had been thrown to the wind. The on call nurses were not held accountable to charting, writing verbal orders or giving case manager the rationale for their decisions. There seemed to be a personal relationship with the supervisory staff and on call nurses. Numerous concerns were not addressed and the behavior was escalating.
