Pros

Compass Group USA utilizes modern technology for projects.

Cons

At Compass Group USA, Work within IT projects can be quite demanding, with tight timelines that may feel unrealistic at times. It is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities shift frequently and teams are expected to adapt quickly. As a result, employees may experience periods of stress, chaos and constant context switching. Regarding benefits, medical insurance offered by Compass can be relatively expensive. For employees, premiums are approximately $175 per month with a $2,599 high deductible per individual, meaning out-of-pocket $2,599 expenses must be met before coverage applies. Adding family members increases the monthly premium by about $200 per person, and the deductible $2599 is applied per individual and not per family, which is important to factor into your overall compensation evaluation. Employee terminations can be abrupt and same day without any prior notice. Overall, Compass Group USA can be a valuable place to gain experience for those seeking exposure to fast-paced environments. However, if you have multiple strong opportunities, it may be worth carefully comparing options based on your priorities.

Pros

Hybrid Schedule. Free food and drinks in office.

Cons

High performers expected to make up for low performers. Pay is below market. Cliquey environment. Bottlenecked at close with extremely long hours. Internally promotes because they would not attract external talent at their compensation package. Management doesn't address employee concerns.
