Pros
Compass Group is an umbrella organization that has many other companies under it. I worked for Crothall in the EVS dpt. While I was in training I went to another site, at this training site the managers worked well as a team and the housekeepers were all on board. However, this training site was not reflective of rest of the hospitals. When I came in I was not received well by any of the managers that was twice my age, they made decisions without me and talked down to me. In addition, the paper work is ridiculous heavy and very tediousI and redundant and, most of it is by hand which makes it more difficult. The people that are higher up have been in the position forever so it difficult to move up unless you move or someone retires. My direct command only dictated and did not help with any fraction of paperwork or rounding with the nursing staff. It was an up hill battle to motivate the workers that are extremely underpaid, we were constantly hiring and firing. The pay and benefits are good but the minimum hour you have to work is 50 but to stay on top of paper work you must work more. I worked hard to be innovative and develop working strategies and I didn't give up easily but in the end I was not appreciated nor respected after months of trying to talk issues out and decided to take my drive elsewhere.
Cons
Hours and paperwork. It is very difficult to let someone go. An individual has to receive about 7 write ups before they are dismissed.
