Pros
Amazing work/life balance: One of the major attractions of flexible workplaces and coworking offices is a more natural work/life balance. CommonGrounds makes sure that philosophy is at the forefront of its internal culture. This in turn contributes to the culture that our members experience & add to. It's a great thing to watch unfold as more sites open and more members join us.
Everyone here is incredibly kind, supportive, and talented: CommonGrounds hires well and they make sure that every addition to the growing team here is one that fits & adds value.
Constant exposure to new ideas and areas of thinking: Since joining the company I've seen both my IT skills, and knowledge of other disciplines excel (real estate, architecture, design, and the workplace as a service industry in general). It has exceeded my expectations to a large degree, so much so that it is difficult to gauge what I will know in 2, 5, or even 10 years and beyond.
Lastly: CommonGrounds offers a competitive salary and benefits as well as great opportunities for travel. I'm able to put this last because the pride I feel for my role here has far outweighed the paycheck, of which I am happy with.
Working here has improved my life in every sense of the word.
Cons
It's a startup, so growing pains are to be expected. Though, with the talent here those growing pains are minimized. They will also cease to exist soon, as we are reaching a point where our teams are becoming fully built out. I've noticed immediate improvements to process efficiency and cross-department collaboration with each new hire.
