Pros
The people are what make this place! They have so much personality and we all genuinely get along and want to hang out outside of work.
Columbus is a place where if you work hard and genuinely put care and attention into your work, you will be rewarded. COL won't hand you progression on a silver platter but they definitely look after those that perform well. They have the usual benefits such as free food/drinks, fitness classes etc but the flexible working hours/ability to work from home and extra leave (5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 7 extra half days each year) is a real bonus.
We get to work on blue chip clients and have a real impact on their business results.
This is my first experience working in an agency and after hearing a few horror stories from friends at other agencies, i was definitely skeptical. I can now say those preconceptions are not relevant to Columbus, with every business there are growing pains and ups and downs but the exec and leadership team really try to make this an enjoyable place to work every day.
Cons
Just like every place of work, there are good and bad days. Sometimes there are periods were things are really busy and we're down a team member but like I said the people are what get you through those tougher times.
It's a growing business and there have been some teething problems but if you're realistic about the business world and understand it's a normality you'll be fine.
