Pros
First off, a monkey can do this job. Its a good way to get your foot in the oil industry door. Pay (in the rockies) is good. Friendly coworkers. Expenses are easy to manage and they have decent health benefits. You also get holiday pay and in good oil times you get birthday and Christmas gift cards.
Cons
Management is lousy. If you need anything important they won't answer their phones but when they need you to do something they act like they are the president calling you. Plan on being away from home for weeks at a time. If they try to hire you for Texas proceed with caution. You get worked to death for terrible pay and terrible living conditions (especially now with low oil prices). There isn't much job security either. Don't take the job if you can't save money or if you have a family, they'll ruin your social/family life without remorse.
