Pros

- Affordable lunch was offered every day, and breakfast once a week. - It was easy to get holiday requests approved.

Cons

- I found it extremely difficult to negotiate a fair salary. - A person of the opposite gender received a bigger raise than me, even though I had more experience and a wider range of responsibilities. When I asked about it, my manager couldn't explain the reason. - I was often micromanaged. - Higher management was chaotic, responsibilities and team structure changed every few months. I was assigned to many teams and different responsibilities throughout my career at Colourbox. Projects changed abruptly and without notice, so I never really knew what to expect in my day to day work. - I was yelled at, and often participated in meetings where certain people swore a lot. I experienced that other employees were also treated this way. - While I was there, HR was handled by the CEO so I couldn’t turn to anyone neutral when I was treated unfairly. - Only a chosen few were allowed to work from home permanently. - It was impossible to get budget approval for tools or courses that were needed for my work. - The company is located near farms and difficult to approach with public transport.

Pros

Very smart people that you can learn a lot from. Very open and trustworthy management. The company focuses on quality and that is great for learning, especially as a tech person. Great office space with lots of perks (e.g. hammock, sand volleyball field). Good working hours with optional working from home hours.

Cons

Maybe the fact that the main office in Odense is a bit outside the city makes it hard to commute, especially without a personal car, but there were always colleagues to pick me up. The fact that their products are for big companies makes it hard for a developer to have to maintain support for outdated browsers or outdated features.
