Pros
All employees that are hired at Colgate are great people to work with. They are smart and make up the positive, non-cut throat attitude that exists at the Canadian subsidiary. Everybody is very collaborative and willing to help out each other. Colgate is a great place to work if you are looking for international opportunities. After spending a couple years at the company at senior levels, being mobile becomes a requirement for promotion. There is great work life balance at CP - you have to work hard to deliver results but it is not expected that you work into unreasonable hours of the night as compared to other CPGs.
Cons
Colgate is very conservative and makes its shareholders their number one priority above its consumers and its employees. That being said, the company does not invest in developing a great work culture and does not do enough to invest in its employees. Compensation is on the lower end of the Tier 1 CPG scale and promotion is slow and based on the time with the company rather than merit-based.
