Pros

Good salary, good work/life balance, 100% remote, but that's about it

Cons

The engineering leadership is the worst I've ever experienced. They keep gaslighting you until you start doubting yourself, which unfortunately can have a long lasting effect on mental health. Some of the leaders are just plain toxic, which makes it for an exceptionally bad environment to be in. Constant layoffs also destroy team morale and give no sense of job security, so I would not recommend if you value your career and mental health

Hi, Thank you for sharing your experience. I see that while some of the basics were right, we unfortunately didn't manage to create an overall good experience at CloudTalk for you - and I'm sorry for this. In terms of the Engineering leadership, we have experienced & capable managers heading up our teams. We regularly conduct team health checks, 360 degree fedbacks and regularly measure the employee Net Promoter Score, which has been stable so far in 2024. In terms of job security, while we don't guarantee it the way a large corporation would, we focus on creating an engaging, fast-growing environment for our top performers and building a culture of ownership & responsible spending to ensure we're scaling the company efficiently. Again, I am sorry to hear that we did not succeed in creating the right environment for you. I am grateful for your feedback, as it will help us better reflect on what we can improve moving forward. Tomas from the People team

Pros

For me, working from home isn’t just an appealing prospect — it’s a reality. You don't have to come into the office at all if you don't want to, and nobody will force you to. Everything is built on trust: what matters are the results, not how many hours you spend sitting at your desk. When you do decide to come in and socialise, you'll find the environment amazing. The Sky Park offices are in an excellent location with great accessibility, and the office itself is modern, inspiring and well equipped. If you need to concentrate or focus, you can book a meeting room in which to work. (If the office is too noisy at that time.) People are on the same wavelength here, the atmosphere is great, and we enjoy grabbing coffee together. Management is extremely approachable, and the 'open-door policy' really works here. You can talk openly and personally with management about anything at any time. I genuinely enjoy the product we’re working on — it’s constantly evolving, and I can see real results. The company is also growing dynamically, and this growth brings opportunities for employees. If you're driven and receive the necessary support, you'll definitely find opportunities for career advancement here.

Cons

To be honest, I can’t think of anything significant to criticise about the company at the moment. Of course, rapid growth sometimes necessitates minor changes to processes, but these are openly and constructively addressed as they arise. I’m completely satisfied here at the moment.
