Pros
First and foremost, CloudOne is focused on maintaining a team that works extremely well together. It may be a cliche, but it honestly does feel like a family. In over 10 years with the company, I can count on one hand the people I've worked with here that I don't genuinely like and enjoy being around. The executive team prioritizes personality and attitude in their hiring process and it shows. I've been with the company as long as I have because I trust that the executives have its team members' best interests at heart. They've always had my back in times of trouble, and I know I can count on them to look out for me in the future. The company is constantly developing new products, and experimenting with and revising new ideas. This means that I'm constantly learning new skills, and doing different things on a day-to-day basis. It keeps things fresh and interesting. The work environment is very casual. We wear what we want, aren't harassed for taking vacation time, have flexible schedules, and can work from home when the need arises. Last but not least, we get a generous amount of paid vacation, solid health and dental plan, and an employee-matched 401k.
Cons
The nature of the business is very entrepreneurial. As such, we're often developing new products very rapidly. Despite the company's age, it still has a startup mentality in a lot of ways. We often begin developing products before they're fully designed, and iterate on the fly as we go. I personally thrive in this atmosphere, but for folks coming from a more highly structured environment it might take a little getting used to.
