Pros

Many of the employees are very smart, kind and hardworking.

Cons

The CEO and leadership team have no regard whatsoever for their staff and are constantly scrambling to appease shareholders and ignoring very basic staff needs. They have let go (fired) key people and either not replaced them, or simply dumped the workload on another employee’s plate. The small leadership team change their mind on the direction they are taking regularly and keep springing new things on staff. They make promises to staff they later cannot deliver on. The CEO is either completely overwhelmed or a generally unpleasant person who again only seems interested in appeasing shareholders and seems to have no idea who any of her key staff are or what they do. Recently she authorized a number of key people to be let go to reduce costs, then acted surprised at how everything went down the toilet after she let go one of the key people who had much of the knowledge, and then claimed she did not know he was going to be fired. Shocking really. While many of the staff are great, the morale is terrible and not only is the CEO rude and disrespectful to her immediate staff, she sends memos to all staff that are insincere and sound like shareholder reports.

Pros

You will have a client once a month and eventually get paid as they pay in arrears.

Cons

I was informed that this contract would help fill my private practice, with the expectation of approximately 20 additional clients per week. However, in reality, I have received, at best, around five clients per month which was the most in one months—often its closer to one client every other month. While the pay rate is $80 per hour, frequent cancellations and no-shows significantly impact actual earnings. Additionally, I am often referred in-person clients, despite operating a fully online practice and I cannot get the referral that month then.
