Pros
You can just wait and push code or leave a thoughtful slack message on the nights/weekends instead of the workday for some easy "hard worker" brownie points. This only works because leadership is so out of touch.
Cons
A couple of bros hired some friends and raised money to change the internet by building 17 products at once. The expectations are wildly unrealistic, threats are common, gaslighting abounds. If you aren't attracting the ire of the CEO for being "uncommitted", don't worry, you will be soon. Everyone is burnt out and on edge, or flat out disassociated. Couldn't tell you the vision of the company but don't say that to the founders or they'll scream at you, maybe in public. It all just lives in their heads, and no one gets the full picture. Who knows what we actually promised investors. You have to infer everything from the mood of the CEO. Can't tell if the mismanagement and disinformation is intentional or just driven by fear and inexperience. Stay away from this professional hellscape.
