Pros
Mission driven organisation with some really interesting projects and smart people
Cons
If you're coming from the private sector, this is going to be a real step change. Climate-KIC is funded by the European Union so there are lots of seemingly unnecessary processes that bog things down and make everything move slow. The internal politics are difficult to navigate and everyone has their own agenda so lots of projects are started that don't seem to fit into the overall mission and lots are left unfinished with little impact. Climate-KIC's direction is led by funding requirements - not necessarily the needs of climate action. There's a lot of dead weight people in the organisation who have good intentions but not the skills or experience to pull off what is needed of them.
