Pros

Provided training to support transition into merchandise teams Sometimes the coffee is nice

Cons

-Absolutely HORRIBLE pay structure. You're paid crumbs while being promised a non-existant role on completion of program. Exploited to hold a position that you aren't paid for as its masked as work experience. That experience does not count as you werent actually in that post. -Not a dynamic workplace & definitely not open to new ways of working. Traditional and likes to glorify people who have been in the same position for years (read black professionals) whereas non-people of colour are always considered for growth opportunities and move up. -No transparency was given about exit roles after the program as no clear plan was set. HR teams are good at wording responses to their advantage- be very careful -Zero flexibility from the company -Not a very people-centric organisation, unrealistic expectations for employees to deliver while little support offered to assist. -HR non-existant. As a trainee, you are made to feel like you dont matter & any of your concerns are almost always disregarded as you are seen as a "nobody". Titles are everything in that place, thats who gets taken seriously.

Pros

Great staff discounts. Flexible working hours, depending on who is your superior. Great team work structure.

Cons

Most managers at Head office are whites, who seems to be quite arrogant. They use their power and title to manipulate their staff. It's either 'my way, or the high way.' Remote work will lead to 12 hours a day. Managers have no respect for staff. Bother staff after working hours and when on leave or sick. HR favours management. Laying a formal complaint against a manager goes to deaf ears. Whites don't like to greet people of colour. Managers swear at staff.
