Pros
The pay is great, the work life balance is great if you work 7 on 7 off.
Cons
The hours are long and the swing shift schedule is not for families. It might be great pay but they force you to do toolbox meetings every morning and expect you to stay over an hour each month for a safety brief to justify not having to pay for you to recieve adequate cerifications and licenses throught the state and keep you stagnant working for them making it hard to find employment elsewhere. You will work 7 straight on thirds and have one day off, then 7 days straight on afternoons for 2 days off, then 7 days straight for 3 days off. Management takes advantage of the good workers with false promises and unreasonable expectations for you to do other people's job while giving no discipline to those that refuse to do theirs. Questionable job advancement opportunities: they will give someone a position if they like them and only "prefer" someone with a relative education background. If you're unmotivated and cunning enough to fit in with the "good ol' boys," this is the job for you.
