Pros

The environment is great for fostering learning and improvement. Management cares about employee well-being and prioritizes work/life balance. Outstanding company culture with supportive team members and social events. The company is small, so you have the opportunity to wear many hats and to make a large impact. The work is interesting and you will become familiar with many different industries. You are given lots of autonomy and the ability to make your own decisions. The option to work remotely is a plus. I have learned valuable skills in my four years at Clear Spider that I will use for the rest of my career.

Cons

The processes in place for the sales & marketing team are exceptional however there is room for improvement in other departments. Communication between teams can sometimes be challenging, especially when working remotely. The organizational structure could be more defined so that there are job roles that cover every area of the business, resulting in less gaps.

Pros

One of the best things about working here is the small company feel. So there’s a sense of independence on an individual level, and things can get done quickly. The culture is very positive and it is conducive to being productive. The people here are good to work with and most are easy to get along with. You can talk to them, and they are open and friendly, which makes it a plus. When I started at Clear Spider over 10 years ago and until now, I learned a lot, especially on the technical side due to my role. I think anyone will learn a lot at this company because everyone here needs to be very good at their jobs. I enjoy the part of the job where I get to interact with customers and help them out. I also like that the job is multi-faceted. For my role, you need to be good at understanding customer needs, being technically competent, and then being good at communicating with software developers to get those problems solved. I am proud to be able to do what I can do to help our customers succeed.

Cons

While training for the sales and marketing teams is good, there needs to be a more standardized training program for other teams as well. This will maximize competence across all work-related areas, especially on the technical side.
