Cons
I could write a novel of how awful it was to work here. When I was hired here I was very excited to do well and succeed. I had originally applied to an “administrative assistant” position. Upon being hired I was given a title promotion to project manager. I thought this was great, but I was very wrong. My job duties were completely different from what was listed on the job posting. I was expected to take on many roles for the price of one, and take on loads and loads of additional assignments at any given time, with no additional pay. If someone quit or was fired, which was very common here as they had an EXTREMELY high turnover, other employees were expected to cover that job for no additional pay. I was expected to arrive early and stay late every day and was scolded when I didn’t. I was insulted for my looks by management because I don’t wear makeup every day (personal choice) or heat style my hair every day. This was after only 3 months on the job. The micromanaging is borderline obsessive compulsive, with the CFO hyper monitoring EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL. of everything anyone does. They talk to employees like trash as well. I watched in horror as they removed an elderly woman from her apartment after she had been living there and paying rent to them for THIRTY YEARS, all because she had someone else living with her which was not against her lease. But they made sure to add that bit to her lease renewal and kick her out after she signed it. Last but definitely not least, I was fired less than one hour after requesting 6 weeks of maternity leave with a 3-month notice. They left me 6 months pregnant with no income, no insurance, and the only explanation being “they want to hire more accountants.” DO NOT WORK HERE. This place SUCKED the life out of me and made me miserable and then left me high and dry at my most vulnerable time. They are heartless.
