Pros

Overall folks at the company were friendly. Training is decent, so employee isn't just thrown to the wolves. There's always someone there to help answer questions. The head administrator who is retiring soon is a fair and good person who takes her, her team's, and the firm's roles seriously.

Cons

Mediocre pay and subpar benefits. Lots of "cool kids" mentality and grown people with high school mentality trying to fit in. However, the biggest issue I encountered was on my team. I never presented it as a problem because it became clear quite early that I wouldn't be staying in that toxic setting. Most days, my colleagues in my department would walk in without as much as a hello unless I spoke first. They'd go the entire day without saying a word. One person in particular made me think they had a personality disorder as there were other times they were super chatty like I was their best friend. That is...until the other colleague showed up. Then the two of them would huddle up and gripe the rest of the day about any and everyone/thing. Often others from within the organization would call or come by their work area to discuss issues. And they'd be nice during the interaction. As soon as the individuals walked away/hung up, the complaining began. Such harsh and negative comments were made about others. One of them (a team leader in a way) also talked about their personal life drama ALL the time seemingly looking for everyone to say, "You poor thing." And they did. There seemed to be an addiction to complaining. The heads of the department, though super good people, were oblivious to all of this. Since most were independent in their job duties and got work done, supervisors kept their heads in their work and rarely observed these employees. If I had planned on staying, I would have eventually addressed it. But it really was no good to do battle with the likes of these mean people. They were clearly terribly insecure, and when I didn't join in with all the negativity, they saw me as their enemy. Toxicity at its finest!

Pros

Compensation: Pay is phenomenal. A great base pay with a generous bonus structure that allows you to enter bonus and earn a percentage of your collections within five to six months of the beginning of the year if you're willing to put the work in. Management: The partners are all great. Everyone there genuinely wants you to succeed. The firm is not overly competitive, allows people to work at their own pace (so long as they fulfil their ethical obligations to their clients). There is absolutely no micromanagement however more experienced attorneys are always available to give their input or help you on a case. Workload: Your workload is in many ways up to you. If you want to hit the ground running and make money, the partners will go out of their way to make sure they give you the work that needs to be done. If you feel overworked or overwhelmed, they'll be sure to cut your cases back to a more manageable level. At the end of the day, the firm wants you to succeed.

Cons

There aren't really any cons. I left for reasons that had nothing to do with the firm and often miss both the people and the work.
