Pros

Work on a mission that is meaningful Work with talented, down to earth people - CEO is very friendly and so is the leadership team which is family-based - Great events and ability to work full time from home - We have time to do research and to work on our projects - Stock options shares - Great assurance benefits

Cons

- Salary is less competitive than other places - It's hard to know what the other department do, less communications between departments - We have a meaningful mission and product is great but we rarely see how impactful our work is - Some decisions (not all) are just based on assumptions, which can be frustrating

Yes! Thanks for this advice. We have hired a research team that is getting to the heart of our users and finding out what they need and what they love. This user input is driving strategy and product development. We’ve implemented a slew of recent initiatives to improve interdepartmental communication, such as monthly OKR updates, regular team posts and a CEO AMA.
