Pros

Thanks to the TR heritage, some great and smart people.

Cons

Corporate culture of bullying. Various employees have noted that (especially within certain units) bullying is the norm which goes unnoticed and when people bring this up, they get shot down. HR contributes towards bullying. Raising grievances means HR will side with the bullies. Dangerous to try resolve issues! Lots of unethical practices. Massively underpaid for type of work and compared to competition. Pay is maybe adequate for new graduates, not for building or creating a life. Very hierarchical company (again there are one or two managers who are more professional). There is no room for (constructive) criticism. Personally, my manager commands me to do things with no compensation. You get tons of extra work and then you're told to be grateful for the experience. Too bad that's not the currency my bank will accept. Women are massively underpaid. The pay gap report was buried in the intranet. No mention of anything and nobody will try to work on this. Standard procedure of getting paid more if you're external than if you're getting promoted internally. I get it, the business units are just getting prepped to be sold and it's obvious to the staff and customers but is it too much to ask to have management at least work on the basics like pay gap, bullying, development? I regret having come here. Split from TR is painful and extremely poorly managed. 99% of the potent, smart employees have left already and the remaining ones refer to the company as a sinking ship. Some hope the company will be sold to a proper, professional new company but most have thrown in the towel and are signing contracts elsewhere.

We take allegations of bullying very seriously and I am disappointed to hear about your experience. We want our employees to always feel comfortable coming to HR and they should be confident that we will respond objectively and appropriately. Regarding equal pay, I want to clarify that women in Clarivate are not underpaid. We were very transparent with publishing the results of the UK gender pay gap report earlier this year and anyone can read the results on our website. And we do provide ongoing professional development, with over 4000 development courses available to employees in addition to ongoing leadership development programs.

Pros

Flexible schedule and PTO. There are some great employees that genuinely care about the work they do and providing great service to the customers.

Cons

RTO is being enforced where it doesn't need to be, especially sending 1 person on a team into the office when the rest of their team is remote or overseas. What is the point when everyone they work with is not there? ELT is cutting US jobs and sending everything overseas for cheaper, under trained, and under qualified labor. Experienced, knowledgeable employees are being replaced by people that just push buttons per whatever directions they were left with and have no understanding of how any processes work. This is putting a great amount of stress on the remaining experienced employees who get shuffled around to new teams, yet are still expected to support all the new people that have no idea what they are doing. This is a no-win scenario for anyone involved, especially the customers. The frequent M&As and restructuring has left this company more and more siloed than it has ever been. Company sends out engagement surveys and then takes no action on them. Nothing changes, except kicking out the next higher up, replacing them, and hoping for miracles.
