Pros

Initially, they seemed quite considerate, I asked to turn a full-time position into a part-time role, which they did. But that’s about the only positive thing to say

Cons

1) Whilst they turned a full-time role into a part-time role upon request, they weren’t prepared to tailor the onboarding training, as well as workload to lesser hours. This led to an extension of probation because they felt too much time was spent on training, even though they extended it to over 4 weeks instead of 2. 2) Incredibly toxic micromanagement culture. They claim to be flexible but then complain about every little thing, if you have to go to an appointment etc. 3) Not enough work - they hand over your accounts really late, then they make you train for months on end, doing really boring work. You constantly have to offer your help to others because you don’t have enough to do but also it’s criticised if you don’t. They should just allocate accounts better and actually let people work after completing their onboarding. 4) Terrible progression path. The salary is anyways low but once you worked hard for 1+ years, you move up to Senior Research Analyst, still doing the exact same job for maybe £5k more at max. If you want to make it to a decent position and pay, this is not the job for you. 5) Really outdated legacy systems that are completely useless in any other role after. The only useful software is Brandwatch, everything else is awful. 6) Management is terrible, they are micromanagers but also not very nice to people. Some of the things I’ve seen them say on Teams, I was shocked. A lot of the less senior managers are also not able to stand up for their team. 7) After I left, I read lots of Glassdor reviews talking about similar experiences but one quote that stuck with me was “nice toilets to cry in” - they do have nice toilets but if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know to not work there then I don’t know.

Good environment and people, great benefits, interesting work.

Cons

Anyone working night shift will see challenges related to that, but the work is interesting.

Pros

Decent work life balance, some good teammates who care about each other and the company makes payroll on time (for most people)

Cons

The executives can’t stand each other and can’t make decisions, so the rest of us were left running in circles. Revenue has declined every year and it keeps getting worse. We had at least 4 layoffs a year and they never communicate them — one day your coworkers just don’t show up. Everyone is constantly looking over their shoulder. The best people have already left because they see the writing on the wall. The products aren’t good and aren’t getting better. They keep talking about Nexus but no one knows what it means or who even wants it. Numbers change depending on who’s presenting them and why. There’s no consistent story on targets internally, which makes it impossible to plan or prioritize anything. PE ownership and puppets in the C Suite meant that every decision gets filtered through “what does this look like for the exit” rather than what’s actually good for the business or the people in it. Compensation hasn’t kept up, especially after layoffs when your workload doubles and nothing changes in your paycheck. No real investment in development either. Bottom line: you’re a headcount, not a person. And they manage by spreadsheet not logic.
